Luna, the gentle moon, handles bedtime — stories, lullabies, and helping your child name their feelings. Stella, the musical star, teaches ABCs, colors, and shapes, and celebrates every milestone with a song.

LumaPal is designed for children ages 0-5. The AI adapts content based on your child's developmental stage — from gentle lights and lullabies for infants, to first words and nursery rhymes for toddlers, to full conversations and phonics for preschoolers.

LumaPal uses advanced LED projection and precision optics to create a 3D character that appears to float above the device. Combined with a depth camera that tracks your child and a microphone array that hears their voice, the characters feel alive and responsive. It works best in dimmer lighting, making it perfect for bedtime routines.

Yes. LumaPal uses LED projection that meets IEC 62471 eye safety standards (Risk Group 0 — no hazard). It's no brighter than a standard nightlight. A proximity sensor automatically dims the projection if your child gets too close to the device.

All audio and video is processed entirely on the device. Raw recordings are NEVER sent to the cloud or stored anywhere. Only anonymized text transcripts and learning metrics sync to the cloud (with your consent). There's a physical hardware kill switch that electrically disconnects the camera and microphone whenever you want.

Yes! The characters and the core content library are cached on the device. Offline mode supports songs, stories, and basic interaction. Advanced AI features like adaptive conversation and development tracking require a Wi-Fi connection, but the core experience works offline.

Because toddlers bond through familiarity, not variety. A huge rotating cast splits that attachment and thins out the content behind each one. Three is enough to cover play, bedtime, and learning without any of them becoming a stranger — so every song, story, and lesson we build makes ghosti, Luna and Stella genuinely better. New content packs arrive free over the air; the friends delivering them never change.

We're in active prototype development — building the projection optics, the enclosure, and the first working versions of the characters on real hardware. The plan from here: prove the prototype through 2026, launch on Kickstarter in 2027 with early-bird pricing for this waitlist, then ship first units later that year. That's the long-term goal. ghosti, Luna and Stella stay the friends your child bonds with, but we want to bring the worlds they already love onto LumaPal through licensing partnerships — with our three as their guides through those stories rather than being replaced by them. Licensing deals of that size follow a shipped product and a real install base, so this comes after launch, not before.
